We weighed: (1) the depth and length of each site’s Wikipedia and Wikivoyage coverage as a rough proxy for global reference-worthiness; (2) aggregate visibility and review volume on major travel-review platforms such as Tripadvisor; (3) whether the site is actively promoted by the Taiwan Tourism Administration and regional tourism bureaus; and (4) general name-recognition among English-speaking international visitors, based on how frequently each site appears in guidebooks, travel-media roundups, and first-time-visitor itineraries. This is an editorial ranking compiled in July 2026, not a certified visitor-count or ticketing statistic, and the order of mid-list and lower-list entries in particular should be read as approximate rather than precise.
